• Namco Bandai confirms that, due to "overwhelming fan response," you will be able to buy Yoda and Darth Vadar for either console in Soulcaliber IV. Only $5 each! Wow. Never saw that one coming.
• Nintedo releases Wii Music's song list, and it's surprisingly GOD AWFUL!! I MEAN, IT'S WORSE THAN YOU COULD HAVE IMAGINED! However, Reggie Fils-Amie says he did a disservice to the game by making it look too easy at E3. It's actually harder than we think. Aaaahahahahahaaa.... God, that just never gets old, does it?

• Japanese research firm Morningstar quotes a Konami rep who says the company is actively developing Metal Gear Solid 4 for the Xbox 360. Then Yahoo! Japan reprints of the story are edited to remove such comments. Weird.
• Tom Clancy's Endwar demo comes to the Xbox 360. So much for scoring the beta codes. However, if you want to test it out, you won't be doing it on your PS3, as it's exclusive to Microsoft's console.
• A California lawyer files a class-action lawsuit against Microsoft alleging that the company knew 50 percent of Xbox 360s were defective but sold them anyway. The case is doomed, but it may prove elucidating if it gets far enough in court.
• Microsoft reveals that the New Xbox Experience dashboard will require 128MB of memory. Great, as long as your system has a hard drive. If not, Microsoft has a solution for you: Free memory cards or cheap refurbished hard drives.
• Behold the future of DRM: FarCry 2 will ship with the dreaded SecuROM DRM that plagued Spore, only kinder and gentler. This one's a win for the "online PR cabal."
• Let's Tap is a new game for the Wii. And it comes in a cardboard box. And inside, it will have a new Wii controller peripheral: A cardboard box. Yes, it's a box... in a box. And if you give it as a Christmas gift, it will be a box in a box... in a box. Oh, this could go on forever.

• Left 4 Dead for the PS3? Not gonna happen this year.

• Rock Band's new website allows better access to the song library. Yawn. It will also allow you to make your band's swag -- including 6" figurines of your virtual rock-star character. Awww, yeaaaaaah!!!

• Retired NFL players say Electronic Arts and their union, the NFL Players Association, colluded to rip them off for using their likenesses in Madden games. If they have half the documents they say they do, this is going to be very, very ugly.

• AC/DC is coming to Rock Band and Rock Band 2 on November 2 for PS3 and 360, November 16 for Wii. And you'll be going to Wal-Mart to pick it up? Really?!?!
• Dan "Shoe" Hsu has done it again. Part five of his "Behind the Scenes" blog series discusses, among other things, how gaming journalists regular pimp themselves to companies for perks and how developers are more than happy to oblige. We did say we'd talk about hooker, didn't we?
